On Sunday, we bought a new bed for Logan (and eventually his baby brother). Well, a used bed I found on Craigslist. Yes, I'm still addicted but am finally slowing down the habit. ;-)
At any rate, it's a beautiful twin over full sized bunk bed in awesome condition for a price we just couldn't pass up. It's a pretty tight squeeze in Logan's room, mostly because I have too much damn furniture (a rocking chair, a bookshelf, and *two* dressers not to mention a bunch of other crap here and there that takes up space). So, I still need to rearrange a few of the pieces of furniture to make it all flow a bit nicer in the room, but until I have time to do that, this will work.
Of course, none of that matters to Mr. Logan. He absolutely loves his new big bed and wants us to join him, reading the 20 or so books he piles up onto it morning and night. We assembled and put it together last night and he slept LIKE A BABY.
Hopefully the trend continues! :)

Sweeeet! You should move the rocking chair into your room if you plan on having the little one in the co-sleeper at first. Did you get a rail? Or is Logan ok without one?
Bunk beds are cool and all, but with my monkey I am thinking mattress on the floor rather than putting what is essentially a jungle gym in her room.
I was thinking of moving the rocking chair to the living room, but that's a good idea about moving it to our room for now - I like it!
We don't have a rail - yet. I'm using a body pillow for now but I think we'll probably get one in the next few days. Hard to say tho, so far he's been fine without one (I think sleeping on a Full sized bed helps, more room to move around and not fall off).
We don't actually keep the ladder up, I just put it on for the pictures.... but even still, I would definitely consider "regular" beds for your monkey, that's for sure! :)
We got this one for Lucille's house:

It's nice because it can be hidden away when Molly's not there. So that's a thought.
My monkey doesn't need no stinkin' ladder! ;-)
