Logan finished another (hopefully last for the year??) report last week, so we stopped by the library today to return all of his books. I don't talk about it much but I love how the boys can do more and more (even little things like this) on their own these days.
They're really growing up fast!! π±

Callumism of the evening
I got Callum a comfy new robe, that just arrived today. He loves it. And said, "Now I know why Zabuton loves robes so much!" ππ

Camp Okizu!
A little bit of fishing, canoeing, swimming, hammock swinging, board games with old friends, meeting new friends.... And let's not forget, Callum's most favorite activity of all - zip lining! ππΌ
Another wonderful weekend at Camp Okizu in the books! Until next time! πππ

Callumism on the drive
We're on the road, headed to our annual Camp Okizu family cancer camp weekend. The boys just got out their iPads to play for a bit and Callum yelled at his game "What in tarnation!?!"
Good to know I'm raising a good ol' fashioned kid. πππ

A second Mom Book!
Boy, am I lucky!
Callum's class ALSO wrote a Mom Book, which he very proudly gave me for my Mother's Day gift. I like how SOME moms read bedtime stories but ALL moms text their friends. He may be onto something there.... ;-)

Mother's Day gifts
I forgot to post these yesterday. Logan (and his class) put together a "Mom Book" where they each wrote a page describing what moms do, and what their own mom does, and then a sweet letter at the bottom of their page. Look at what Logan wrote for me!!
He also made a coupon booklet for me to use - so I'm posting a couple of my favorite ones out of the collection. He was quite creative! :)

Happy Mother's Day!
Today I got to have brunch with the three loves of my life and then hang out and be lazy all day.
I also did some crafting (with help from Logan) to prep for an upcoming surprise baby shower that a few of us Moms are throwing for Logan's teacher. π
I'm in charge of the games for the kids; Logan has helped me pick out some fun things to challenge the kids with... and we figured we should have a few trophies to hand out to the winners too! π¬
Hope everyone has had a wonderful Mother's Day! πΌπΈπΊπ❤

Practicing strength and posture
It's amazing to see how far the boys have come, in such a short amount of time! They both did terrific today! Logan practiced a lot of balancing exercises today - you can see him in a few pics here where he's either riding one handed and/or raising out of the saddle as he trots around. He's a real natural out there! :)
Horseback Riding
The boys' favorite part of the week is their horseback riding lessons! I'm so glad they're enjoying it. Callum gave me a few snarky faces as I was taking pics but was having a blast. :)
Monthly check up!
Had another monthly check up for Mr. Callum. His counts continue to look great and everyone loves seeing him. He was sporting a bit of an attitude with the poor nurse taking his vitals, but opened up and became a rambunctious Mr. Chatty for our oncologist (who loved seeing how active Callum was - I'm sure he doesn't see that much with his patients).
Our oncologist spent about 5 minutes examining Callum and about 45 minutes just sitting and chatting with me. LOL
I sometimes think these visits are a break for him from the daily grind he has to put up with since he seems to want to just talk about anything and everything while we're there (meanwhile, as much as I also like chatting, we have places to go and things to do!!) ;-)

Typing practice
Logan has some 3rd grade state tests coming up next week - and they're all on the computer. So, he's been practicing his typing skills every few nights or so, to prep for it (the exams aren't testing him on his typing skills, but he will have to type several paragraphs for the language arts section...)

A boy and his dog π
We had another scorching hot day today! So the minute Callum got home, he changed into his swimsuit and jumped into the pool. π
He REALLY wanted Logan (or my Dad, or I, or any willing body) to join him so he'd have a play buddy.
Luckily for him, Daisy was dying to play fetch in the pool. ππ
