Hamleys

Hamleys claims to be the largest and oldest toy store in the world - so naturally, we had to check it out. The flagship store we visited is over 7 stories tall! 😱 It was exhausting.

Of course, we've made it 9+ years without a Build-A-Bear in our family. And then we flew to London..... 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

But seriously, basically the kids pick a type of bear they like, take it to the gal at the stuffing machine where they do some special things like hold these little plush/felt hearts and rub them against your check or something to give them life? I'm not even sure.... put them into the bear and then she fills the toy with stuffing, she sews it up and then you have an opportunity - !! - to pick out a number of accessories like capes and shoes, and when you're finally done, you fill out a form in a computer which creates a special little birth certificate for your new stuffed bear, and then Mom and Dad fork over loads of money to take it all home). 😩😂😂😂
